South Korea's manufacturing PMI rose to 53.9 in September from 52.3 in August, marking the strongest expansion in four months, according to the S&P Global survey reported by Reuters. Manufacturing remained above the 50 expansion threshold for a tenth consecutive month. New export orders increased at the fastest pace since March 2011, supported by semiconductor and automotive demand, while output and new orders recorded their strongest growth since early 2021. Manufacturers' expectations for the year ahead also improved to an eight-month high.
