Russia Hits Kyivstar Headquarters as Ukraine Data-Centre Strikes Disrupt Communications

Russia has reportedly struck Kyivstar’s headquarters as attacks on Ukrainian data centres disrupt communications. The strikes highlight growing pressure on Ukraine’s telecommunications and digital infrastructure amid the ongoing conflict.

Russia struck the Kyiv headquarters of Kyivstar, Ukraine's largest mobile provider, on September 27 as attacks on communications and data infrastructure intensified. Kyivstar said its head office was hit without casualties. Russia's defence ministry separately said it struck a Vodafone Ukraine data centre, while Ukraine's digital ministry said attacks on internet-provider data centres over the past week had caused outages affecting about 100,000 households in Kyiv and the surrounding region. Vodafone Ukraine had not confirmed the reported strike at Reuters' cutoff.
