Iran Warns New U.S. Attack Would Trigger Sustained Retaliation

Iran’s military central command warned that a major new attack by the United States or its allies would trigger sustained retaliation against U.S. bases and interests, Reuters reported from Iranian state media. Tehran said it had information that an attack was being prepared but offered no supporting detail. A U.S. Embassy security alert separately cited the potential for unforeseen Middle East escalation, flight cancellations and airspace closures. No new attack had been confirmed at the review cutoff, making this an escalation warning rather than evidence of imminent action.
