Reports said an Ethiopian Airlines cargo flight bound for Tel Aviv returned to Addis Ababa after Israeli authorities reportedly refused it permission to land because one of its pilots was an Indonesian citizen. The pilot was replaced in Ethiopia by a pilot whose nationality was permitted for flights to Israel, after which the aircraft continued to Tel Aviv and landed. The airline's representative in Israel said the incident would not affect passenger flights between the two cities. Ethiopian Airlines has reportedly announced plans to operate 26 weekly flights on the Addis Ababa–Tel Aviv route.
